Over 1000 homes left empty in Swansea for two years or more

New research by the Liberal Democrats has discovered that 168 homes in Swansea have been sitting empty for ten years or more. These are included in the total of 462 homes that have been left unused for five years, and the 1033 homes empty for two years or more.

About Peter

Peter was the Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Member for South Wales West between 1999 and 2016. He is a leading Swansea Councillor, having represented the Cwmbwrla Ward since 1984. He was a member of the Welsh Assembly's Finance Committee and the Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee and a former member of the Assembly Commission, where he had responsibility for ICT, sustainability and the Assembly estate.
