#HearMyVoice initiative

This is an article for Seaside News

I was privileged recently to attend the re-launch of the Swansea Sound and The Wave #HearMyVoice campaign at a Swansea Primary School.

The campaign aims to tackle the issue of bullying and raise awareness about the problem.  The initiative is supported by many anti-bullying organisations as well as Swansea City Football Club and the Ospreys.

Swansea Sound and The Wave are looking to roll this campaign out across as many schools at possible and are walking with their sister radio stations to try and make it a nationwide campaign. It looks at the devastating impact bullying is having on young lives across Wales.

The radio station has taken an in-depth look at the problem of bullying, how victims feel, why bullies do it and how professionals are dealing with the problem.

This is an important initiative that will help many children as they progress through their school lives.

It is heart rendering but necessary to hear the experiences of children and young people who have been bullied.  It is great to know that the #HearMyVoice campaign has provided them with the support they need and will continue to prevent bullying from occurring in their school.
